I must say first of all at the end of this sequence I was gutted that the movie didn’t just continue, as it totally sucked me in to the narrative! Luckily Sky Movies is repeating this movie ad nauseum this week & I’ve since satisfied that urge. It’s a great little movie (a romantic comedy that is genuine, quirky, romantic and funny plus not in the least bit sappy or over sentimental) and this title sequence is a great way to introduce it. In fact, it’s one of the most enjoyable sequences I’ve seen. The opening is better than the close which is a bit too messy for my taste, but still it’s all good work.
The use of the diagramatical information really helps convey the obsessive compulsive nature of the character and is executed very well.
I had been avoiding this movie for some reason, thanks to Alex/webmaster for bringing this to my attention, I loved the sequence and loved the movie too!
