		<description>Unfortunately, as clever and beautiful as this sequence is, it is in service of one of the most subversively right-wing endings of a children&#039;s film in memory. 

Because what is the message of WALL-e? 

That no matter how badly we screw up, poison and pollute this world that it can recover to the point where it can sustain people again. A couple of bean plants and soon it will come back. 

It&#039;s a pretty irresponsible idea to &quot;plant&quot; in the kids&#039; heads just so you can deliver the expected Disney happy ending, because the generation that comes of age with this in their childhood is very likely to have to make some big, hard decisions regarding environmental issues. We sure as crap don&#039;t seem to have the backbone to deal with it.</description>
