So many people want to take credit for this title sequence. Truth be known, an animator in Hollywood, Ben Lopez, is responsible for making the those amazing CG distortions in all of the type. I believe, in this context, the “the underwater type distortion idea” really only becomes interesting with the exquisite execution of the technique and the editing.
