Kurt Volk is a graphic designer and animator based in Austin, Texas. He studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and since 2003 has acted as lead graphic designer for Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios.

Kurt's work includes main title design and poster art for such films as Grindhouse (Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror and Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof), Predators, and Machete. His poster for Grindhouse won a 2009 Key Art Award for Best Action/Horror poster. He also acts as graphic designer and editor for Troublemaker's book division, Troublemaker Publishing, where he has created a number of books, including Sin City: The Making of the Movie and Grindhouse: The Sleaze-Filled Saga of an Exploitation Double Feature.
