One of the best and least discussed horror movies of the last couple decades. The opening titles grabbed me right off the bat. They look awesome for starters, but also give this sense that the filmmakers are having fun and thinking intelligently about their choices, which doesn’t always happen with this genre.

It’s a great little movie. If the world was just, teen girls would rush to see this instead of Twilight.

This is one of my all-time favourite opening scenes from a movie. My jaw nearly hit the floor the first time I watched it, so I had to rewind and watch it again. Then I downloaded the music. Love the hell outta this opening.

I watched Ginger Snaps 2 and 3 on the SYFY Channel just yesterday, the day before Halloween, and I have to tell you that I am instantly a huge fan!!
I have been thinking about different parts of both movies all night long. I have had little sleep because of the heavy pondering about the movies but the 20 minute dreams I have every 2 hours through the night are worth every second of pondering I have placed into these movies. Just thinking about the werewolf part of the movies actually being a kind of metaphor for puberty is enough to enjoy. The shots showing the transformation from human to werewolf are truly better than any other werewolf movie that I have ever watched in my lifetime of 26 years. I never understood the coolness of loving werewolf things in science fiction until Ginger Snaps 2. So many comments for the movies but those are better left in face-to-face talks.
